Today’s Forecast:
Patchy dense fog and icy streets remain an issue for some drivers this morning and caution should be taken walking to your car and driving to work. Dense fog is a large problem for Pueblo this morning, visibility at times has been at or below one mile. The ice is more of a problem for areas that saw bigger snow totals and the fog that does settle in this morning will quickly burn off as the morning progresses.

Warmer air and dry skies are the big story for the majority of this week! Sunshine takes hold today under an area of strong high pressure and highs should warm into the 40s and a few low 50s. I would wait a day to wash the car, as several small roads will keep melting down today. Tonight we’ll be frosty and cold again with lows falling into the low 20s and teens.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 46; Low – 20. Sunny and warmer this afternoon with light winds.

PUEBLO: High – 51; Low – 16. Sunny and great today with very nice afternoon temperatures.

CANON CITY: High – 48; Low – 23. Sunny and warmer this afternoon with light winds.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 42; Low – 15. Sunny but chilly this afternoon with crisp afternoon temperatures.

TRI-LAKES: High – 40s; Low – 10s. Sunny but chilly this afternoon with crisp afternoon temperatures.

PLAINS: High – 40s; Low – 20s. Sunny and great today with very nice afternoon temperatures.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 40s; Low – 20s. Sunny skies from the morning with a few more clouds by the end of the day with mild afternoon temps.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Temperatures steadily warm up through most of southern Colorado most of this week with a rain and snow chance returning by Friday and Saturday. Snow in the mountains to our west will be a bigger impact on Wednesday to any I-70 travel, but for southern Colorado, we simply enjoy our highs creeping into the 50s.
