Monday evening forecast: Light winds and cool temps before a warm-up

Tonight’s Forecast:
Warmer air and dry skies return for the majority of this week as a we’re under an area of strong high pressure. Monday night into Tuesday it will be another night of temperatures hanging around the 20 degree mark with highs warming into the 40s and a few low 50s across the area on Tuesday. There is no precipitation in the forecast for next 72 hours at least.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 20; High – 48. Cool overnight with very light winds under a partly cloudy sky.

PUEBLO: Low – 23; High – 55. Lows into the low 20s for the mesa tonight along with clear skies.

CANON CITY: Low – 27; High – 51. Partly cloudy skies overnight with lows in the upper teens and light winds.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 21; High – 44. Low temps on par with the rest of the area under mostly clear skies.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 20; High – 46. Partly cloudy to mostly clear skies overnight with temps almost to the teens.

PLAINS: Low – 20; High – 53. Mostly cloudy skies across the plains with very light winds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 25; High – 49. Mostly clear skies overnight with temps in the mid-20s.


EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Temperatures steadily warm up through most of southern Colorado this week with a rain and snow chance returning by Friday and Saturday. Snow in the mountains to our west will be a bigger impact on Wednesday to any I-70 travel, but for southern Colorado, we simply enjoy our highs creeping into the 50s.
