Today’s Forecast:
COLD this morning but don’t worry, the afternoon looks fantastic! High level clouds will be moving out of the mountains and into the plains today, but temperatures should have no trouble running into the 50s through the lower elevations. The winds will stay gentle today and that will only make it more enjoyable to be outside. Tonight we’ll stay fairly mild under a blanket of scattered light clouds, with lows falling to the upper 20s and low 30s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 50; Low – 28. Partly cloudy skies with light winds and mild afternoon temps.

PUEBLO: High – 52; Low – 22. Partly cloudy skies with light winds and warm afternoon temps.

CANON CITY: High – 52; Low – 32. Partly cloudy skies with light winds and mild afternoon temps.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 50; Low – 28. Partly cloudy skies with light winds and crisp afternoon temps.

TRI-LAKES: High – 50s; Low – 20s. Partly cloudy skies with light winds and crisp afternoon temps.

PLAINS: High – 50s; Low – 20s. Partly cloudy skies with light winds and warm afternoon temps.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 50s; Low – 30s. Partly cloudy skies with light winds and warm afternoon temps.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
As warm as today will feel, tomorrow will be even better with highs soaring into the mid 50s and even a few 60s down south and through the plains! A new system moves in for Friday and Saturday, but luckily for evening commuters, the snow looks to be pretty light. We would start to see a rain first in the lower elevations Friday afternoon with a switch to snow in the evening. Snow totals will stay very light for all areas not in the mountains, but even in the high terrain only a couple inches at the most are expected. We’ll keep an eye on this system and bring you updates as they come.
