Sunday Morning Weather: Clouds and near average

Today’s Forecast:

A few areas of freezing fog this morning and generally a pretty frosty start to the day. Clouds will be filtering in, but it will be a mainly dry day. Temperatures will be near average with highs in the 40’s. Winds will be around 5-15 mph throughout the day.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 43; Low – 22. Clouds move in with near average temperatures.

PUEBLO: High – 46; Low – 18. Around average today with clouds moving in.

CANON CITY: High – 45; Low – 24. Clouds will be around, but we stay dry with highs in the 40’s.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 37; Low – 16. Near average today with clouds moving in from the west.

TRI-LAKES: High – 40’s; Low – 10’s. Clouds moving in from the west with highs in the 40’s.

PLAINS: High – 40’s; Low – 10’s. Areas of clouds, especially as you head west.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 40’s; Low – 20’s. Clouds moving in throughout the day with seasonal temperatures..

REST OF THE WEEK: Quiet tonight with lows in the 10’s and 20’s. A few clouds in the mix, but mainly dry for Christmas Eve. Highs will be a touch milder in the 40’s to low 50’s. We cool a few degrees for Christmas with highs near average in the 40’s. Partly to mostly cloudy skies with most areas staying dry during the daytime hours. Snow begins to arrive around sunset for most and the rest of the week will be much more active. Snow and strong winds for Wednesday, especially the first part of the day. Colder with highs in the 30’s. Additional rounds of snow will be possible nearly every day for the rest of the week. Snow chances early Saturday before skies finally look to improve a bit. These rounds of snow could add up to some decent accumulations and cause issues with driving. If you’re planning on travelling be sure to check the forecast before you head out and be prepared for extra time.
