Winds will be lighter today, but still a little breezy by this afternoon with gusts over 20 mph. Temperatures will be much colder with highs only in the 40’s. We’ll have clouds around throughout the day. The mountain will see some decent snow with just a chance for a quick shot of rain/snow possible for the lower elevations. Any snow will have a head time accumulating.

PUEBLO: High – 51; Low – 11. Colder today with breezy winds later and a chance for isolated showers.
CANON CITY: High – 47; Low – 14. A colder day and breezy by this afternoon. Small chance for a stray shower.
WOODLAND PARK: High – 34; Low – 7. Colder air arrives for the weekend. A chance for snow today with minor, if any, accumulations. Breezy this afternoon.
TRI-LAKES: High – 30’s; Low – 10’s. Colder today with a chance for isolated rain/snow. Breezy later on.
PLAINS: High – 50’s; Low – 10’s. A colder day with a chance for a stray shower and breezy winds later.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 50’s; Low – 10’s. Colder with a small chance for a stray shower.
NEXT WEEK: Dry skies overnight with lows in the teens. Sunday looks dry with clouds at times. Highs again in the 40’s. If you have plans for holiday travel this weekend, we’re not expecting any major impacts aside from mountain snow. We’re looking mainly dry for Christmas Eve and most of Christmas Day with highs in the 40’s and low 50’s. We’ll have a bit of cloud cover with mainly dry skies. Snow arrives later Christmas day for the mountains. Snow arrives Christmas night for the lower elevations with a decent storm system expected for the middle of the week. Snow and gusty winds will likely cause issues with roads and travel on Wednesday. This could be a decent snow event with some much needed moisture. Lingering cold and isolated snow showers for Thursday and Friday.
