***High Wind Warning in effect Tonight***

FORECAST: Winds in excess of 50 mph, enough to topple weak or small trees, and semi-s on the highway, overnight. These winds will calm down quickly early Sunday morning. A storm front is driving heavy wind-driven snow into the mountains west of the Divide, and high winds into the Plains. The storm will be clear of the area, late Sunday morning, and fair but cold weather will ensue. It is yet another weekend where warmer weather is swept aside by another “Thermal Cliff”, only to see temps recover early to mid week thereafter.

But, for the overnight, avoid driving. Between darkness, high winds, and in the higher elevations…snow, it’s simply not worth the 6-pack or pack of smokes!

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 25, High – 38. A rain shower this evening, snow shower overnight. Very windy. Clearing early Sunday with much less wind, sunny most of the day but much colder.
