Today’s Forecast:
The coldest air of the season arrived this morning and man, it was a tough drive to work! The good news is dry air, sunshine and a light wind will all work together today to boost high temperatures back into the 40s in the Pikes Peak region and lower 50s around Pueblo. Tonight we’ll keep clear skies around and while it won’t be as cold tonight as we were this morning, you should still plan on temperatures falling well into the lower 20s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 45; Low – 24. Sunny and dry today with a quick warm up and light afternoon winds.

PUEBLO: High – 52; Low – 20. Sunny and dry with very light winds and a quick warm up to the lower 50s.

CANON CITY: High – 48; Low – 28. Sunny skies with dry weather and a quick warm up through the afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 40; Low – 22. Sunny skies with very light winds and a quick jump to the chilly afternoon.

TRI-LAKES: High – 30s; Low – 20s. Sunny skies with a light afternoon breeze and temperatures up near 40.

PLAINS: High – 40s; Low – 20s. Sunny skies across the plains with a nice warm up through the afternoon, the coldest air will be out north of Kiowa county.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 40s; Low – 20s. Sunny and warm through the afternoon with a light wind.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Saturday looks wonderful with temperatures quickly jumping back into the 50s and 60s across the lower elevations under strong sunshine! A very strong cold front is going to push through Sunday morning and we won’t be above freezing for the whole day. Snow is likely going to fall with this front and right now, the Pikes Peak region has that 1 to 3 inch look for snow with bigger totals across the mountains. The snow would stop Monday morning but we’ll stay cold all the way through Monday afternoon.
