Today’s Forecast:
After a very cold start tot he morning, we’ll see improvement to a pretty typical fall day across southern Colorado. Sunny skies will get temperatures moving into the 50s and 60s through the lower elevations while the taller terrain stays parked in the 40s. The winds will be fairly gusty today, especially in and around the mountains. Tonight a light wind and clear skies mean it’s going to get cold, with most areas falling below freezing.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 57; Low – 28. Sunny, dry and windy today with afternoon gusts into the 20 mph range through the afternoon.

PUEBLO: High – 63; Low – 26. Sunny dry and breezy, but not as windy as areas like Springs and Canon City.

CANON CITY: High – 60; Low – 30. Sunny and windy today with max wind gusts up around 30 mph.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 42; Low – 20. Sunny, cold and very windy today with gusts into the low 30 mph range.

TRI-LAKES: High – 40s; Low – 20s. Sunny, chilly and windy with gusts into the 20 mph range.

PLAINS: High – 60s; Low – 20/30s. After the morning light showers, sunny and warm with a steady afternoon breeze.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 50s; Low – 20s. Mostly sunny with a stronger afternoon wind, especially out in the mountains.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Election day is going to be cold, but that’s about the biggest weather impact if you go vote. Expect a stiff afternoon breeze again for Tuesday, so just hold on to your ballet when you’re walking in to drop it off! We’ll stay dry through the extended forecast but late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, a few showers with snow are possible, especially out in the plains.
