Today’s Forecast: Cooler today, but still well above average with highs in the 60’s and 70’s. Skies will be mainly sunny with just a few areas of cirrus clouds. Winds at around 5-15 mph.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 69; Low – 43. Cooler, but still above average. Mainly sunny.

PUEBLO: High – 73; Low – 40. Mainly sunny and still above average.

CANON CITY: High – 71; Low – 44. A touch cooler and mainly sunny.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 64; Low – 37. A few clouds with above average temperatures.

TRI-LAKES: High – 60’s; Low – 30’s. A few areas of clouds and slightly cooler.

PLAINS: High – 70; Low – 40. Cooler, but still above average with sunny skies.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 70’s; Low – 40. Sunny with cooler, but still above average, temperatures.

WEEK AHEAD: A few areas of clouds tonight with lows in the 30’s and 40’s. Another jump in temperatures towards the 70’s and 80’s on Monday with breezy winds at times and some additional cloud cover. After a warm start to the week, things turn cold starting on Tuesday. Temperatures start to fall off with highs in the 40’s and 50’s. Winds will be breezy with more clouds and advancing showers, mainly during the second half of the day. Those shower chances will continue into early Wednesday. Rain changing to snow will be possible for many areas and could cause some slick commutes, especially Wednesday morning. A few inches of accumulation possible, especially for the higher elevations of Teller Co and the Palmer Divide. Halloween will be the coldest day of the week with highs in the 40’s. Models are backing off the precipitation chances for Thursday and looking mainly dry for the rest of the week. Temperatures warm a bit, but stay below average in the 40’s and 50’s for the rest of the week.
