Today’s Forecast:
Rain is finally back in southern Colorado, and there’s a lot of it! Steady showers will be falling across the region from the morning and then again well into the afternoon as more rain pushes in from New Mexico. Drier air will push in by this evening but the plains will keep rain going well into the overnight hours. Heavy cloud cover and rain will keep temperatures from climbing much today, highs will be in the low to mid 50s at best from Springs to Pueblo.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 54; Low – 38. Cloudy with steady light rain through lunch time and then off and on showers through the afternoon. We’ll be dry tonight with clearing skies and temperatures down to the upper 30s.

PUEBLO: High – 55; Low – 38. Cloudy with steady light to moderate rain into the mid afternoon. We should be dry in Pueblo around dinner time with clearing skies overnight and lows into the upper 30s.

CANON CITY: High – 57; Low – 40. Cloudy with steady rain through the morning and then off and on showers through the afternoon behind this system. Dry tonight with clearing clouds and chilly lows.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 48; Low – 31. Cloudy with light showers off and on from the morning into the afternoon

TRI-LAKES: High – 50s; Low – 30s. Mostly cloudy and chilly with no rain expected through the day and only spotty showers after midnight.

PLAINS: High – 50s; Low – 40s. Cloudy with steady light to moderate rain from the morning through the evening. Rain will leave Colorado and push into Kansas by midnight tonight and we’ll get clearing skies into the early morning hours.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 50s; Low – 30s. Light to moderate rain is expected to be off and on through the morning and a bit more steady through the early afternoon. There could be some snow on the Sangres over 10,000 feet today but most of the area will see rain. Showers will move east by tonight and we’ll get a clear night with chilly lows.

Extended Forecast:
Clearing skies tonight will allow for a chilly start to Thursday morning. Full sunshine will then quickly warm temperatures into the 60s in the Springs and low 70s for Pueblo! Friday, we should see similar temperatures with continued strong sunshine well into the afternoon. Saturday looks like the warmest day in the extended forecast with temps into the low to mid 70s across the lower elevations. No rain or snow is in the forecast until Halloween morning.
