Today’s Forecast:
An upper level low moves over Colorado today bringing morning cloud cover and hopefully, full afternoon sunshine! The sun later on today will depend on how quickly that upper level low gets out of the way. I-25 will stay dry today but to the east across the plains, scattered showers will fall from the mid morning to the early afternoon, especially across Baca, Bent, Prowers and Kiowa counties. Tonight clearing skies will allow for a chilly Friday morning.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 57; Low – 39. Cloudy to start the day with better sunshine in the afternoon. The winds will be stronger through the afternoon with chilly high temperatures.

PUEBLO: High – 62; Low – 39. Cloudy to start but sunnier skies will return through the day. Expect a crisp afternoon with a breeze gusting into the teens.

CANON CITY: High – 59; Low – 40. Cloudy in the morning with better sunshine through the afternoon. The winds will stay light and highs will be chilly.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 53; Low – 30. A mix of clouds and sun with chilly afternoon temperatures. Light rain or snow is possible later this evening but most of the moisture will stay west into Park county.

TRI-LAKES: High – 50s; Low – 30s. Cloudy in the morning with better sunshine through the afternoon. Expect a stronger afternoon breeze with chilly high temps.

PLAINS: High – 50/60s; Low – 40s. Cloudy with light rain from the mid morning through the early afternoon, especially for eastern Las Animas county as well as Benty, Baca, Prowers and Kiowa counties. The clouds will clear slowly tonight.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 50s; Low – 30s. Cloudy in the morning with better sunshine through the afternoon. Expect dry skies through the interstate but light rain/snow is possible today and tonight in the Sangres to the west.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Friday looks fantastic with full sunshine and highs back in the 60s…even a few 70s out east! We’ll keep dry and sunny skies rolling into the weekend with peak temperatures occurring on Sunday. The next chance for rain occurs next Tuesday with snow likely through the central mountains.
