Today’s Forecast:

A bitterly cold morning for most with a hard freeze everywhere. It’s the coldest morning we’ve had since March so bundle up as you head out the door, especially for any kiddos at the bus stop. Give yourself a little extra time to get the car warm and make your commute, there could still be a few slick spots, especially on back roads. Areas of clouds and fog linger early this morning, but skies will clear for a good deal of sunshine today. Temperatures improve a little bit from yesterday with highs in the 30’s and 40’s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 41; Low – 24. Bitterly cold morning. Clearing skies and slightly warmer today.

PUEBLO: High – 45; Low – 21. Frigid morning then sunshine and some improvement in temperatures.

CANON CITY: High – 67; Low – 33. Chilly this morning then sunny and slightly warmer.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 67; Low – 33. Very cold morning then sunshine and slightly warmer.

TRI-LAKES: High – 40; Low – 20’s. Frigid start to the day then sunny and slightly warmer.

PLAINS: High – 40’s; Low – 20’s. Cold start to the day then sunshine and slightly warmer.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 40’s; Low – 20’s. Cold this morning then sunny and a bit warmer.

REST OF THE WEEK: Slightly warmer but still chilly tonight with lows in the 20’s. Mainly sunny and dry skies continue for the rest of the week. Best day to see additional clouds will likely be Wednesday behind a cold front. Aside from that we stay quiet, dry, and bright. Temperatures improve for the rest of the week. 50’s on Tuesday and Wednesday then mainly 60’s for the rest of the week. We should be back close to average by the weekend.
