After a bitterly cold start to the day with record low temperatures, we do see some improvement. Sunshine has been abundant for most areas and that’s warmed temperatures a bit. Highs will be in the 30’s and 40’s for the rest of the afternoon.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 41; Low – 24. Sunshine with some improving temperatures. Clear and cold tonight.
PUEBLO: High – 45; Low – 21. Some improvement in temps with mainly sunny skies. Mostly clear and cold overnight.
CANON CITY: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with some warming today. Clear tonight and cold.
WOODLAND PARK: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny and cold today. Mainly clear and chilly tonight.
TRI-LAKES: High – 40; Low – 20’s. Sunny and dry with improving temperatures. Clear and cold tonight.
PLAINS: High – 40’s; Low – 20’s. Mainly sunny, a few clouds south. Well below average today. Mainly clear and cold tonight.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 40’s; Low – 20’s. Cold with clouds at times. Cold again tonight.
REST OF THE WEEK: Slightly milder but still chilly tonight with lows in the 20’s. Mainly sunny and dry skies continue for the rest of the week. Best day to see additional clouds will likely be Wednesday behind a cold front. Aside from that we stay quiet, dry, and bright. Temperatures improve for the rest of the week. 50’s on Tuesday and Wednesday then mainly 60’s for the rest of the week. We should be back close to average by the weekend.
