WEEK AHEAD: We stay cool and unsettled for the first part of the work and school week. Highs in the 50’s and 60’s on Monday with a chance for showers throughout the day, especially around the Pikes Peak Region and the mountains. Some areas of the Palmer Divide between Colorado Springs and Denver could see snow mixing during the evening and that could cause a few slowdowns for the evening commute between the two cities. Tuesday should be the coldest day of the week with highs only in the 40’s and 50’s. The chance for showers will still be around. Tuesday night should also be coldest with some areas heading towards their first freeze. Wednesday will be a break with drier and brighter skies along with a bit of a warm up into the 50’s and 60’s. Those 50’s and 60’s stick around for the rest of the week with another small chance for isolated showers later Thursday into Friday.
