It really comes down to, more of the same through Monday morning. Storms are getting caught up out of the main circulation, and spinning around Colorado. Now, it is important to note that, they track west of the Divide. That is important to the forecast for two reasons. One, that’s where the most significant precipitation falls, by far, with locales east of the Divide only getting a sprinkle from time to time, as the peaks block (and absorb) the rain. Two, that also keeps the coldest of the cold air to the west of the Divide. Until…the final storm that rotates through drags the whole mess into the Plains Tuesday. While all precipitation will be light, in almost all locales, expect wet snow in elevations above 8500 feet, and especially at night.

PS: Mountain snows will be wet, and with minor accumulations (under 6″, probably under 3″) in total.

Colorado Springs: Low 38, High: 60.  Cloudy tonight, and for the most part, through Monday. A sprinkle from time to time, a shower Sunday afternoon and again Monday afternoon.

Pueblo: Low 40, High: 68.  Mostly cloudy tonight through Monday.

Canon City: Low 41, High: 63. Cloudy tonight, and for the most part, through Monday. A sprinkle from time to time, a shower Sunday afternoon and again Monday afternoon.

Woodland Park: Low 32, High: 54. Cloudy tonight, and for the most part, through Monday. A sprinkle from time to time, a shower Sunday afternoon and again Monday afternoon.

Tri-Lakes: Low 35, High: 57. Cloudy tonight, and for the most part, through Monday. A sprinkle from time to time, a shower Sunday afternoon and again Monday afternoon.

The Plains: Low 44, High: 67. Cloudy tonight, mostly cloudy through Monday. A brief shower from time to time, mainly Sunday afternoon and again Monday afternoon.

Trinidad/Walsenburg: Low 43, High: 74. Mostly cloudy tonight through Monday.

Extended Outlook…Skies clear up very fast Tuesday night, and it will be bright but windy Wednesday as a fast-moving ridge moves through, on through Thursday. But another storm moves in from the PAC coast and may even drag residual moisture from what will be a long since dead Tropical Storm, through here Friday. Now, it is worth noting that, after that…instead of a prolonged cloudy/cool period like we are in now, there will be an equally prolonged warmer/dry period to come after that.
