THIS WEEK’S OUTLOOK:
The forecast is going to be simple and repetitive this week: hot and dry. A heat ridge is building across the west and fills into Colorado starting this afternoon. Highs will be up near record territory at times this week with temperatures through the Springs hitting the low 90! We have no rain chances this week but thankfully fire danger is low due to fuels being in good shape and light winds.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 90; Low – 54. Sunny, hot and dry with a light afternoon breeze.
PUEBLO: High – 97; Low – 53. Sunny, very hot and dry with a light afternoon breeze.
CANON CITY: High – 94; Low – 54. Sunny, hot and dry with a light afternoon breeze.
WOODLAND PARK: High – 80; Low – 46. Sunny, warm and dry with a light afternoon breeze.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK
The weekend will be unseasonably hot with 80s and 90s looking likely for Saturday. A week surge of cooler air will lower highs by about 2 to 3 degrees. Both days look dry right now.
