Today is the transitional day, from the cool, cloudy, damp weather we have had, in to what amounts to from a practical…if not technically accurate, “Indian Summer”, for all of next week. Plan for temperatures well into the 70s and low 80s this weekend, and well into the 80s and low 90s all of next week, with very limited rain chances.
Worth mentioning that, fog will likely form overnight for some, particularly along I-25 corridor and then out the Arkansas River Valley. This would lead to a cloudy start to Saturday, but clearing up by 8am.
And in terms of showers in the short term, any isolated showers this evening, dry up quickly. Any future shower activity is limited to extreme southeastern Colorado, for the next 3 afternoons.
Colorado Springs: Low: 51. High: 77. Clearing up early, but fog late, and cool. Mainly sunny Saturday.
Pueblo: Low: 54. High: 81. Clearing up early, fog late, and cool. Mainly sunny Saturday.
Canon City: Low: 53. High: 79. Clearing up early, clear overnight & cool. Mostly sunny Saturday.
Woodland Park: Low: 44. High: 70. Clearing up early, clear overnight & cool. Sun & clouds Saturday, mid afternoon sprinkle?.
Tri Lakes: Low: 47. High: 75. Clearing up early, clear overnight & cool. Mostly sunny Saturday.
The Plains: Low: 54. High: 82. Clearing up early, fog late, and cool. Mainly sunny Saturday, warmer.
Walsenburg/Trinidad: Low: 53, High: 80. Clearing this evening, Sunny to partly sunny Saturday. PM sprinkle?
Extended Outlook…There is a high likelihood that skies will remain mainly clear and no rain, for a week or more. Temperatures will steadily march upwards, into the high 80s to mid 90s! (Cooler west, of course.)
