Thursday Evening Forecast…from Fall-like to Indian Summer

We are on the backside of a brief cool-down…and the heavy cloud cover will begin to break up through Saturday…which will give more hours for the Sun to work on our part of the world, too. It’s really an upslope flow that has to break down, and will, that keeps temperatures cool and cloud cover heavy. And that cloud cover keeps the range of weather, much more narrow, meaning differences in local climate are less accentuated.

But, as I promised last weekend, once we get past Friday, rain risks radically decline and temperatures warm up, well into the 80s (and 90s) next week. In fact, as previously mentioned, once it dries out/clears up, most areas could easily go a full week or more, without another raindrop.

Colorado Springs: Low: 52, High: 72. Sprinkles this evening, then mostly cloudy. Friday, mostly cloudy, a couple brief afternoon sprinkles or showers.

Pueblo: Low: 56, High: 76. Sprinkle this evening, then mostly cloudy. Friday, mostly cloudy, a couple brief afternoon sprinkles or showers.

Canon City: Low: 55, High: 75. Sprinkles this evening, then mostly cloudy. Friday, mostly cloudy, a couple brief afternoon sprinkles or showers.

Woodland Park: Low: 45, High: 67. Sprinkles this evening, then mostly cloudy. Friday, mostly cloudy, a couple brief afternoon sprinkles or showers.

Tri-Lakes: Low: 48, High: 70. Sprinkles this evening, then mostly cloudy. Friday, mostly cloudy, a couple brief afternoon sprinkles or showers.

Plains: Low: 56, High: 76. Sprinkles this evening, then mostly cloudy. Friday, mostly cloudy, a couple brief afternoon sprinkles or showers.

Walsenburg/Trinidad: Low: 53, High: 73. Sprinkles this evening, then mostly cloudy. Friday, mostly cloudy, a couple brief afternoon showers.

Extended Outlook…there is a shower risk in the afternoons, south, meaning Las Animas and Baca Counties, even into Sunday and Monday afternoons…but it becomes a low risk after Friday. For the rest of us, it is probably dry and definitely warmer, this weekend and all of next week.
