So, the short story is, there is a good chance for rain each afternoon through at least Thursday.

In more detail, a weak upper level (above 20,000 feet) disturbance in the flow is generating areas of light to moderate rain from the Pikes Peak region, southwest into much of Arizona and New Mexico. This would take until Tuesday to clear through,. but there’s more. A cold front coming south out of Canada, will then push south, into it, right across our area. This front is likely to get hung up on the mountains Wednesday into Thursday, keeping a cool upslope flow going into Thursday.

So again, in short, light rain showers Sunday afternoon, and keep an umbrella around for BBQ’s Monday afternoon too…and each afternoon until Friday.

Colorado Springs: Low: 55, High: 77. Evening sprinkles, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy Sunday, light rain showers in the afternoon.

Pueblo: Low: 58, High: 84. Evening sprinkle, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy Sunday, light rain showers in the afternoon.

Canon City: Low: 60, High: 83. Evening sprinkles, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy Sunday, light rain showers in the afternoon.

Woodland Park: Low: 47, High: 70. Evening sprinkles, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy Sunday, light rain showers in the afternoon.

Tri-Lakes: Low: 52, High: 73. Evening sprinkles, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy Sunday, light rain showers in the afternoon.

Walsenburg/Trinidad: Low: 58, High: 83. Evening sprinkles, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy Sunday, light rain showers in the afternoon.

Extended Outlook…Keep the umbrella handy for the afternoons and early evenings through Friday. Also, a bit on the cool side, Wednesday especially.
