Today’s Forecast:
The forecast today is simple: it’s going to be hot. Sunny skies will be replaced with a bit more cloud cover in the afternoon, but we’ll still feel the heat all the way home from work. We should stay dry today but a few spotty showers on the summits of the Sangre De Cristos and Palmer Divide looks possible later today. Enjoy the heat today because much cooler air is on the way for the weekend.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 90; Low – 59. Hot and dry today with a breezy southwest wind in the afternoon.

PUEBLO: High – 97; Low – 62. Very hot this afternoon with lots of sun and a light afternoon breeze.

CANON CITY: High – 95; Low – 63. Hot and dry today with a weak afternoon breeze.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 82; Low – 51. A bit more cloud cover through Woodland Park and warm today.

TRI-LAKES: High – 80s; Low – 50s. Very warm and dry today but a stray shower east along the Palmer Divide is possible later this afternoon.

PLAINS: High – 90s; Low – 60s. Very hot today with temps by Lamar near triple digits.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 90s; Low – 60s. Hot and dry today with a breezy southwest wind in the afternoon. A scattered shower or two over the summits of the Sangre De Cristos is possible.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER:
Cloud cover increases tomorrow and that means we’ll see temperatures about 2 to 3 degrees cooler than Thursday. Scattered showers now look likely in the afternoon Friday with daily rain chances showing up from the weekend through the middle of next week. Highs will be in the upper 70s in the Springs from the weekend through next week under lots of cloud cover.
