Tonight’s Forecast:
We are in a repeating pattern of wash, rinse, repeat, with monsoonal moisture flowing freely into the region, and daytime heating combining with weak disturbances in the flow, to set off PM and evening T-storms. But, a break is coming. It isn’t abrupt, it is more like the pattern runs out of gas, by the weekend. But the break is temporary. the season is monsoon season, so it will return next week.

Meanwhile, scattered storms mostly west of I-25 this evening, peeter out. Another day with some storms, for Thursday, but probably less numerous, and more confined to I-25 and west. By Friday…storms become even less numerous, and may never escape the mountains, into the Plains.

Note: Once skies clear, get out and take some time to enjoy the free show put on by Mother Nature! The Perseids are almost in full swing, and make a great light show in the NE sky the next 5-7 nights!

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 58, High – 78. Partly cloudy to clear tonight. Sunny, then a PM storm possible, but not likely.

PUEBLO: Low – 62, High – 86. Partly cloudy to clear tonight. Sunny, then a PM storm possible, but not likely.

CANON CITY: Low – 63, High – 84. Partly cloudy to clear tonight. Sunny, then a PM storm likely.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 58, High – 82. Early shower, then partly cloudy to clear tonight. Sunny, then a PM storm probable.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: This could be a dry weekend, making it the first in 5 weekends. Not for sure yet, but of course, the worst case scenario is a pop up PM storm. But it looks a bit warmer, and brighter, longer.
