Today’s Forecast: Clouds will be more abundant today with haze still possible at times. Temperatures will be a touch cooler in the 80’s to low 90’s. Showers and thunderstorms develop by noon over the higher elevations and push east throughout the second half of the day. We’ll have at least a chance for showers and storms everywhere. A few could be strong to severe, especially for the far eastern plains. Heavy rain will be a possibility so burn scars will be monitored closely.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER:
Conditions improve in time for the weekend. Skies will be mainly dry and temperatures will be warming. Highs get well into the upper 80’s and 90’s for both Saturday and Sunday. Shower/storm activity will be more limited and mainly confined to the mountains. Just a small chance for a stray shower to slip east, but most areas look to stay dry. A disturbance moves in to bring cooler temperatures and a better chance for shower/storm activity Monday and possibly Tuesday before drier conditions try to move in for the middle part of the week.
