Today’s Forecast:
Today is the last day of July, and it’s going to feel great! High pressure keeps sunny skies and pleasant temperatures in place across southern Colorado through the afternoon. The winds will be very calm today which means any work outside will definitely feel warm, but low humidity should help make it more pleasant. We’ll see a few afternoon clouds pop up in the higher terrain but rain holds off till Wednesday.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 83; Low – 56. Great afternoon with sunny skies and a few afternoon clouds. Clear and mild tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 90; Low – 59. Hot and dry today with lots of sunshine and a fairly calm breeze. Mild and clear tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 86; Low – 60. Warm and sunny today with a few afternoon clouds. Mild and clear tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 75; Low – 50. Gorgeous with some afternoon cloud cover. Cool and clear tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 70s; Low – 50s. Beautiful with sunny skies and a few afternoon clouds. Cool and clear tonight.

PLAINS: High – 80s; Low – 50s. Hot day with highs mainly in the 80s but a few places reaching 90, especially along the highway 50 corridor.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 80s; Low – 50s. Very nice and warm with plenty of sunshine, a stay shower west into the mountains is possible.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER
Weak monsoon flow returns on Wednesday with a few scattered showers forming over the mountains and pushing east into the I-25 corridor and eventually the plains. The heat will continue to build through the week with 90s much more prevalent by the end of the weekend. Friday has the biggest and best chance for rain with only a few isolated showers forecast for Thursday and Saturday.
