Tonight’s Forecast:

The repeating pattern of the past 10-12 days has a change coming! Scattered storms this evening can still be severe for awhile, but will wind down by Midnight, though several rounds of weaker and weaker showers are possible upstream (COS/PUE) until Midnight too. The clouds will hang tough through Monday evening, and a few very weak T-showers or just sprinkles are expected Monday, almost any time after 11am. But Tuesday through Wednesday, our atmosphere will be drying out, and come next weekend, a true-er "monsoon season" will be setting up, with a heat low developing in Arizona. A major feed of moisture will be sitting on the doorstep, over Mexico and New Mexico, waiting to be drawn northward! So, look for that in early August.

Meanwhile, Monday is way cool, much cloudier overall, and there will be a few very mild showers.

Also, it is worth pointing out that, for extreme SE Colorado, like eastern Las Animas, Baca, Prowers Counties, late day storms are still likely even midweek.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 55, High – 72. Rumbles until Midnight, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy with a few light showers Monday, and very cool!

PUEBLO: Low – 60, High – 79. Weaker t-showers until Midnight, then partly cloudy. Partly to mostly cloudy with a light shower or two Monday, and cool!

CANON CITY: Low – 60, High – 75. Weak t-showers until Midnight, then partly cloudy. Partly to mostly cloudy with a light shower or two Monday, and cool!

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 48, High – 65. Sprinkles until Midnight, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy with a few light showers Monday, and very cool!

TRI-LAKES: Low – 52, High – 68. Shower until Midnight, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy with a few light showers Monday, and very cool!

PLAINS: Low – 62, High – 82. Storms (severe?) until Midnight, then mostly cloudy. Partly sunny with a light shower or two Monday, and cooler!

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 58, High – 78. Rumbles until Midnight, then mostly cloudy. Mostly cloudy with a few light showers Monday, and cool!

NEXT WEATHER MAKER: Rain chances diminish greatly (except SE corner) for midweek. Monsoon season begins to set up though, possibly for the following week.
