Tonight’s Forecast:
So, the overall weather story hasn’t changed from previous forecasts, there are going to be storms around this evening…until Midnight for eastern counties. And Saturday afternoon, more are likely to erupt…but they will probably be fewer…but also, more intense for the ones that do erupt. They are much more likely extreme southeast, east, and northeast, than for the mountains and the I-25 corridor. And for Sunday, storms become more likely for all again, in the later afternoon and evening hours…and those could run the gamut, from lightning and torrential rain and hail and even a few twisters east…and could roll into a large part of the evening. I perceive Monday could be active too, before the atmosphere settles down some on Tuesday.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 56, High – 82. Early storms end, becoming partly cloudy. Mostly sunny through midday Saturday, then scattered storms after 2pm.

PUEBLO: Low – 60, High – 90. Early storms end, becoming partly cloudy. Mostly sunny through midday Saturday, then scattered storms after 3pm.

CANON CITY: Low – 60, High – 87. Early storms end, becoming partly cloudy. Mostly sunny through midday Saturday, then scattered storms after 2pm.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 50, High – 76. Early storms end, becoming partly cloudy. Mostly sunny through Saturday morning, then a quick early afternoon storm possible.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 54, High – 80. Early storms end, becoming partly cloudy. Mostly sunny through midday Saturday, then an early afternoon storm possible

PLAINS: Low – 62, High – 90. Storms end by Midnight, becoming partly cloudy. Mostly sunny through midday Saturday, then scattered storms after 4pm.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 58, High – 88. Early storms end, becoming partly cloudy. Mostly sunny through midday Saturday, then scattered storms after 3pm.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER: Beyond this weekend, the storm chances are still high Monday late morning and afternoon, and rains could be heavy again. After that, Tuesday through Thursday…the only storm area worth mentioning is extreme southeastern Colorado, like Las Animas, Baca, and maybe Prowers counties.
