Tonight’s Forecast:
It’s not a true monsoonal flow, as in, a "Monsoon season" setup, but there is enough moisture circulating around the periphery of this giant blocking High Pressure over the Plains, to include decent rain chances for almost all of us, beginning Thursday…and continuing through Monday of next week. After that, it appears, the spigot will get shut off again, for a time…so now is the time to make some hay (so to speak), with multiple rain days ahead. As usual, the mornings will be dry, storms will erupt in the daytime heat by early afternoons, and will dissipate in the early evenings, with clear overnights.

As for temperatures, they will cool down for the next few days…and even more so on Monday, but that too, will be short-lived. Once the rain chances diminish, the heat returns.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 60, High – 85. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday morning, scattered afternoon storms.

PUEBLO: Low – 64, High – 93. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday morning, scattered afternoon storm or two.

CANON CITY: Low – 65, High – 91. Clearing up tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday morning, scattered afternoon storm or two.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 52, High – 78. Clearing this evening, clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday morning, scattered storms by afternoon.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 57, High – 81. Clearing this evening, clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday morning, scattered storms by afternoon.

PLAINS: Low – 66, High – 97. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday morning, scattered afternoon storm or two.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 62, High – 90. Clearing this evening, clear overnight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday morning, scattered storms by afternoon.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Storm chances will still be there both weekend days, for afternoons and early evening. What makes each day and each place difficult, is that, either way…whether there are storms or are not…it reshuffles the deck for the next day, making predicting exact places and days, difficult. But, I would count on a PM storm both afternoons, if I were a betting man. High temperatures should reach the 80s and low 90s, as usual.
