Tonight’s Forecast:
So the overall is still almost the same, only the holiday has changed a little, in our thinking. The overall is, a broad ridge of high pressure along the east coast…a semi-permanent high, is backing westward with time. This pushes higher humidity in our direction, upping the chances for PM storms, by Thursday. This process is half of what is needed to get the July-September monsoonal flow going. The other half is a heat low in Arizona, whose flow would draw moisture northward, from Mexico. That is yet to happen or show signs of happening. But an unfortunate part of the story is, the high? It backs over the Rockies, and then flattens out and dies! So, it will require the process to start all over again from scratch, after Friday, for the true monsoonal rains to come!

Getting back to the holiday, a very weak front to our north, now appears to get close enough to the Palmer Divide, to include a PM storm chance there. Still little or no chance south of Springs, but north…there now is a chance, Wednesday.
