Today’s Forecast:
Heat becomes the main story today through Friday as temperatures rocket into the 90s and triple digits across all of the lower elevations in southern Colorado. Even the higher terrain won’t be able to escape the warmth today with areas like Woodland Park warming way above normal to the mid 80s! Colorado Springs will hit the lower 90s and Pueblo will see lower 100s by 4pm. The winds will be light today but low afternoon humidity will keep fire danger relatively high.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 94; Low – 61. Hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 101; Low – 62. Very hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 67; Low – 33. Very hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 98; Low – 64. Warm and dry today with a few afternoon clouds and a light wind. Clear and cool tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 85; Low – 56. Hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

PLAINS: High – 100s; Low – 60s. Very hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 90s; Low – 60s. Hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER
Wednesday and Thursday will be hotter compared to today with Thursday likely packing record temperatures for many cities like Colorado Springs and possibly Pueblo. We should be dry this week but a few high based mountain thunderstorms are possible Wednesday. Any high based storms Wednesday would likely put down more wind than rain, we could see some virga over Colorado Springs which is a rain that evaporates before it touches the ground.
