Today’s Forecast:
Mainly sunny skies throughout the morning hours will help temperatures warm. We’ll make it into the 80’s and 90’s this afternoon. Afternoon and evening clouds will develop, especially for the mountains and Pike’s Peak Region. Most areas stay dry today, but the best chance for any stray shower/storm activity will be for areas around the Palmer Divide and the eastern plains. Some of those storms on the eastern plains could be strong at times. Clearing overnight with lows in the 50’s and 60’s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 85; Low – 57. PM clouds today. Small chance for a stray shower/storm especially north.

PUEBLO: High – 93; Low – 61. Mainly sunny and warmer.

CANON CITY: High – 89; Low – 61. Morning sunshine with a few pm clouds. Temperatures will be warmer.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 76; Low – 48. Increasing clouds throughout the second half of the day. Small chance for a stray shower/storm.

TRI-LAKES: High – Near 80; Low – 50’s. PM clouds with a small chance for a stray shower/storm.

PLAINS: High – 90’s; Low – 60’s. A few isolated showers/storms during the second half of the day. Some could be strong.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 90’s; Low – 60’s. Mainly dry with areas of pm cloud cover.

NEXT WEEK
Models are coming in with an earlier cold front passage and cooler temperatures for Sunday. Highs now look to cool into the 70’s for most areas. We’ll have more cloud cover in the mix and the chance for showers and storms. It should be our best chance to see moisture for the next several days. Highs warm back into the 80’s and 90’s with dry conditions returning on Monday. The heat kicks in for the rest of the week yet again. Highs will soar into the 90’s and even 100’s for Pueblo and the plains. There will be areas of cloud cover during the second half of each day. Rain chances will be minimal. We could see a little bit of activity around the Palmer Divide on Wednesday and around the eastern plains on Thursday, but those chances are small. Generally a hot a dry first full week of summer.
