Weather Alert Day: Strong to severe storms

Tonight’s Forecast:
Strong to severe storms tried to developed this afternoon and evening.  A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in place until midnight for Pueblo County and areas of the plains. Still the chance for a few showers/storms to linger this evening, especially for the plains. Skies will generally improve after midnight. Lows in the 50’s for most areas. 

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 54, High – 77. Chance for strong to severe storms through this evening. Drier overnight. 

PUEBLO: Low – 58, High – 85. Chance for a stray strong to severe storm through this evening. Drying out overnight. 

CANON CITY: Low – 58, High – 81. Dry through this evening and overnight. Mainly dry tomorrow too.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 46, High – 70. Mainly dry this evening. Improving skies overnight.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 40’s, High – Near 70. Mainly dry for the rest of the evening. Dry overnight. . 

PLAINS: Low – 60’s, High – 80’s. Strong to severe storms possible this evening with a severe thunderstorm watch in place until midnight.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 50’s, High – 80’s. Mainly dry for the rest of the evening and overnight.


REST OF THE WEEK: Drier skies for most on Wednesday. Just a very small chance for a stray shower/storm. Most areas stay dry. Temperatures will be in the 70’s and 80’s. Dry and hotter for the official start of summer on Thursday morning. We’ll have highs in the 80’s, climbing into the upper 80’s and 90’s on Friday to end the work week. Still warm through the weekend. Sunday will be the coolest and slightly more active day with the chance for showers and storms and highs still in the 80’s. Looking like another streak of hot temperatures to start the work and school week with highs in the 80’s and 90’s with mainly dry skies.
