The winds will stay strongest through the morning out of the north but this afternoon we’ll see a bit of a drop in the speed and a switch to the east and southeast. We are going to stay dry today and tonight but for the rest of the week daily rain and thunderstorm chances will not be out of the question.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER
Southeasterly winds through the rest of the week, combined with warm air, will bring near daily thunderstorm chances for much of the higher elevation areas of southern Colorado, including cities like Colorado Springs. Some of the best energy for thunderstorms settles in from Friday through Sunday but don’t count out daily thunderstorms starting over the mountains moving into the plains from Tuesday through Thursday.
