Today’s Forecast:
A strong cold front moved through the state overnight and that will bring gorgeous weather into the afternoon! Highs will drop into the mid 80s in Colorado Springs and lower 90s for Pueblo. The winds will stay strongest through the morning out of the north but this afternoon we’ll see a bit of a drop in the speed and a switch to the east and southeast. We are going to stay dry today and tonight but for the rest of the week daily rain and thunderstorm chances will not be out of the question.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 67; Low – 33. Windy, warm and beautiful today with full sunshine! Mild and less wind tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 67; Low – 33. Windy, hot and sunny today. Warm and less wind tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 67; Low – 33. Breezy, very warm and sunny today. Warm and less wind tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 67; Low – 33. Warm, sunny, breezy and absolutely gorgeous! Cool with much less wind tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 67; Low – 33. Warm, windy and beautiful today with full sunshine! Cool with less wind tonight.

PLAINS: High – 67; Low – 33. Hot, windy and sunny today. Warm with less wind tonight.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 67; Low – 33. Very warm and windy today with full sunshine. Warm with less wind tonight.

Southeasterly winds through the rest of the week, combined with warm air, will bring near daily thunderstorm chances for much of the higher elevation areas of southern Colorado, including cities like Colorado Springs. Some of the best energy for thunderstorms settles in from Friday through Sunday but don’t count out daily thunderstorms starting over the mountains moving into the plains from Tuesday through Thursday.
