CANON CITY: Low – 58, High – 94. Mild this evening and overnight. Heat continues tomorrow.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 50, High – 76. Warm this evening, chance for a stray shower or storm. More warmth on Wednesday.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 50’s, High – 80’s. Chance for a stray shower/storm this evening. Another hot day tomorrow.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – Near 60, High – 90’s. Mainly dry this evening with mild temps. More heat tomorrow.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER: Heat continues for the rest of the week with an upper level ridge in place across nearly the entire country. Highs will be well into the 80’s, 90’s, and even 100’s for the plains this week and into the weekend. The hottest days look to be Thursday through Sunday before cooler air moves in for the new work week. Winds don’t look terribly gusty throughout this week so we should stay below the criteria for Red Flag Warnings but keep in mind that fire danger will be very high as the hot and dry air lingers. There will be a small chance for a stray shower or storm at times, but nothing promising at this point.
