Today’s Forecast:
Dry this morning with clouds increasing quickly throughout the day. We’ll have the chance for some shower and thunderstorm activity during the afternoon and evening hours as a disturbance heads our way from the Four Corners area. Not expecting heavy rain or severe weather with this, hopefully just a quick shot of needed moisture for many areas. Temperatures will be just a touch below average in the 70’s to low 80’s. Skies improve overnight with lows in the 40’s and 50’s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 73; Low – 51. Slightly below average with a chance for showers/storms during the second half of the day.

PUEBLO: High – 79; Low – 53. A touch cooler with pm shower/storm chances.

CANON CITY: High – 79; Low – 54. Dry this morning, but we’ll have the chance for showers/storms this afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 66; Low – 43. Quiet morning before showers/storms return later today.

TRI-LAKES: High – 70’s; Low – 40’s. A small chance for showers/storms this afternoon.

PLAINS: High – 80’s; Low – 50’s. Dry this morning with a chance for showers/storms this afternoon/evening.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 70’s; Low – 50’s. A few showers/storms this afternoon and evening.

REST OF THE WEEK
Today will be our best chance for moisture over the coming week. Starting on Monday we’re back to a mainly dry and hot pattern. Highs will soar back into the 80’s and 90’s through at least Saturday with only a few degrees of variation. We’ll have clouds at times, especially during the afternoon/evening, but moisture chances look minimal for most areas. The best shot at activity will be for the far eastern plains. Fire danger will be high and we could have red flag warnings at times as we get breezier winds into the mix.
