Today’s Forecast:
Hot and dry weather becomes the main story in weather for today and Friday. Strong sunshine, dry air and a stronger afternoon wind will elevate fire danger today, especially for counties south and west of Pueblo. The relative humidity will be below 15 percent in many areas and the winds will be much stronger through the afternoon, so any areas not in a Red Flag Warning will still have very high fire danger. We’ll stay dry today and tonight where temperatures will fall back into the mid 50s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with a some afternoon clouds, hot and windy in the afternoon. Clear and mild tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny skies with very hot and windy conditions this afternoon. Clear and mild tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with a few afternoon clouds, hot and windy in the afternoon. Clear and mild tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with afternoon clouds, warm and windy in the afternoon. Clear and cool tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with a some afternoon clouds, very warm and windy in the afternoon. Clear and mild tonight.

PLAINS: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny skies with very hot and windy conditions this afternoon. Clear and mild tonight.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER
Friday we’ll be hotter with even more wind through El Paso and Pueblo counties with Red Flag Warnings already in effect through the evening. We’ll get a cold front to move through Friday night and that will put Saturday in the 70s and 80s. The next chance for thunderstorms looks to blow through on Sunday with heavy rain, lightning and small hail the biggest factors at the moment.
