Today’s Forecast:
Hot stuff today. Plus, wind. And single digit afternoon humidity. All that, spells extreme high fire danger.

There’s a ridge of surface and jet stream high pressure, blocking storms to the north, overhead. However, the tail of a cool front will shave highs over the weekend, back in to the 70s. But it will be short-lived. Heat will return in robust fashion, Monday through all of next week. And, our only chance for rainfall is over the weekend.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 90; Low – 52. Sunny, becoming windy today, clear tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 97; Low – 55. Sunny, becoming windy today, clear tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 93; Low – 56. Sunny, becoming windy today, clear tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 80; Low – 45. Sunny, becoming windy today, clear tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 85; Low – 50. Sunny, becoming windy today, clear tonight.

PLAINS: High – 99; Low – 58. Sunny, becoming windy today, clear tonight.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 88; Low – 56. Sunny, becoming windy today, clear tonight.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK
Both weekend days will be cooler, mainly 70s, which is much more seasonable for the time of year. But Saturday is the sunnier, by a lot. After a partly sunny morning, storms probably erupt Sunday afternoon.
