We’ll stay fairly cool and pleasant across southern Colorado but storms are possible again across the Pikes Peak region and east into the plains. A marginal risk has been issued by the Storm Prediction Center and covers counties east of El Paso through this afternoon. Storms that develop east of El Paso after 2pm today could and likely will be severe with large hail and strong winds both possible through the early evening. Storms will likely be firing off and on through the Pikes Peak region from 3 to 5pm today. Small hail is possible within storms across the Pikes Peak region and while an isolated storm could quickly turn severe, it’s more likely most of our storms will stay non severe. Tonight we’ll be dry and cool with lows falling back into the 50s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 67; Low – 33. Pleasant temperatures with storms expected sporadically across the city from 3pm to 5pm. Lightning and some heavy rain is expected in any storms that form with small hail also possible. Tonight we’ll be dry with lows back near 50.

PUEBLO: High – 67; Low – 33. A brief morning shower is possible but through the afternoon, mainly dry conditions are expected today as the best chance for spotty storms well north of the city. It’ll be warm and sunny with highs in the mid 80s and lows tonight in the mid 50s.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER
Wednesday is looking like a better day for wide spread severe weather with warmer air and more moisture feeding afternoon thunderstorms. Large hail and some strong winds are looking pretty likely in storms that form over the I-25 corridor and then push east into the plains. We’ll be dry through the end of the week with bit heat returning up until the weekend.
