Monday Morning Weather: Warmer with a few afternoon thunderstorms

Today’s Forecast:
After a very cloudy and cold week we bring back some sunshine and much warmer temperatures! Storms are possible today with the mountains the most likely area to see the most rain accumulation. Storms today should stay non severe but we could still see small hail, lightning, and a few gusty winds. Most of the rain and thunderstorms today should be gone by 10pm tonight and we’ll be fairly mild this evening with lows falling back towards 50 by Tuesday morning.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 67; Low – 33. A mix of sun and clouds today with an afternoon breeze and a few thunderstorms after 4pm possible. Dry and cool tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 67; Low – 33. Quite a bit of sunshine today with an afternoon breeze and scattered thunderstorms after 3pm today. Dry and cool tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 67; Low – 33. Mix of sun and clouds today with thunderstorms possible after 3pm this afternoon. Dry and cool tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 67; Low – 33. Cloudier today with afternoon showers and a few rumbles of thunder possible. Mainly dry and cool tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 67; Low – 33. A mix of sun and clouds today with an afternoon breeze and a few thunderstorms after 4pm possible. Dry and cool tonight.

PLAINS: High – 67; Low – 33. Spotty showers and thunderstorms mainly south of highway 50 today after 4pm. Dry and cool tonight.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 67; Low – 33. Heavier showers and thunderstorms from Walsenburg and Trinidad but still likely non severe. Heavy rain, lightning and small hail are possible in storms after 2pm today. Dry and cool tonight.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER: 
Tuesday there is a small chance for additional thunderstorms but most of the area will just enjoy warm and dry conditions. The rest of the week we stay dry but bring some big heat back with highs in the 80s and 90s through the region.
