Weather Alert Day: Red Flags And High Fire Danger

Tonight’s Forecast:
Red Flag Warnings remain until 9 pm this evening. Avoid burning or anything that could start a fire as conditions stay dry and breezy. Lows tonight will be mild in the 40’s for many areas. A cold front will move through tonight into Tuesday which will add some cloud cover, shift our winds around a bit, and cool off temperatures a few degrees. Highs tomorrow will be in the 60’s and 70’s. 

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 43, High – 68. Winds eventually improve with mild temperatures overnight. Slightly cooler and still be bit breezy on Tuesday.

PUEBLO: Low – 45, High – 75. Winds are slow to improve overnight. A touch cooler tomorrow with more red flag warnings. 

CANON CITY: Low – 47, High – 73. Winds improve and temperatures stay mild tonight. Cooler and dry Tuesday.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 38, High – 58. Improving winds overnight. Another breezy day with cooler temperatures tomorrow.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 39, High – 60’s. Winds improve a bit tonight. Cooler and still breezy Tuesday.

PLAINS: Low – 40’s, High – Near 80. Mild tonight. Cooler tomorrow with more high fire danger. 

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 40’s, High – 70’s. Winds improve overnight with mild temps. Another round of high fire danger on Tuesday. 

REST OF THE WEEK: An upper level low arrive later Wednesday into Thursday to give us a decent chance at moisture. Mainly rain and even some thunder for the lower elevations. A few of the peaks could have accumulating snow. This will come with cooler temperatures with highs in the 50’s and 60’s for Thursday. Drier and warmer heading into the weekend. We’ll be solidly in the 70’s for Saturday and Sunday.
