Weather Alert Day: A Few Lingering Showers

Today’s Forecast:
Many areas had a good shot of moisture later Friday into the overnight hours. You many need some extra time in snowy areas, especially for the higher elevations where temperatures below freezing could lead to some icy/slushy roads. Shower will linger for some areas this morning and we could have isolated activity later today. Clouds will be abundant today and temperatures will stay below average in the 40’s to low 50’s. Winds will be coming from the north with gusts over 20 mph at times. Skies try to clear tonight with lows in the 30’s for most.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 45; Low – 32. Isolated showers and below average temperatures today.

PUEBLO: High – 51; Low – 35. Mainly cloudy with isolated showers and cool temperatures.

CANON CITY: High – 53; Low – 35. Isolated showers today with cool temperatures.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 39; Low – 27. Some slow downs this morning. Isolated shower chances today with chilly temperatures.

TRI-LAKES: High – Near 40; Low – Near 30. Some slick areas possible this morning. Isolated showers today with cool temperatures.

PLAINS: High – 50’s; Low – 30’s. A few showers today with below average temperatures.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – Near 50; Low – 30’s. A few showers today with below average temperatures.


WEEK AHEAD
Skies continue to clear on Sunday for a drier and brighter day. Temperatures will return to the 60’s to low 70’s for a beautiful end to the weekend. Similar temperatures to kick off the new work and school week. Isolated showers will again be possible Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday will be cooler behind a cold front with highs in the 50’s. We should be able to dry out and warm back into the 60’s on Wednesday. Another chance for showers will arrive on Thursday before we quickly dry out again Friday.
