Today’s Forecast:
Weather-wise, skies will be clear tonight, winds light, and temps chilly (25-30). A Fair-Weather-Maker drifts across…and then away Thursday afternoon and evening. At that point, clouds will begin to increase…and first showers could easily break out not long after dawn Friday morning. Showers will continue on and off through the day, night, into Saturday morning…along with breezy and cool conditions. Skies can be expected to begin clearing up Saturday afternoon into evening, and Sunday looks fine and dandy. (As does Monday.)

These incoming showers will help some with fire danger, and the cloudy skies and higher humidity will also help. And the fact that it will last for nearly 2 days, helps even more.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 29, High – 62. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine to start Thursday, but increasing clouds (and wind) through afternoon and evening.

PUEBLO: Low – 31, High – 68. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine to start Thursday, but increasing clouds (and wind) through afternoon and evening.

CANON CITY: Low – 32, High – 66. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine to start Thursday, but increasing clouds (and wind) through afternoon and evening.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 25, High – 55. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Early sun Thursday, but increasing clouds and wind.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 27, High – 60. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Early sun Thursday, but increasing clouds and wind.

PLAINS: Low – 35, High – 72. Clear tonight, light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday, but increasing clouds (and wind) through afternoon and evening.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 35, High – 70. Clear tonight with a light southeast wind. Sunshine Thursday, but increasing clouds (and wind) through afternoon and evening.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER: Friday’s incoming storm probably doesn’t drop more than a few tenths on us, but that it will go on and off through the day, night, into Saturday, helps. As does the higher humidity and the cloudy skies…all of which decreases the amount of evaporation from ground fuels.
