It's time for one of the most popular events in the Pikes Peak Region.
The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo kicks off Wednesday and preparations are already underway at the Norris Penrose Event Center.
It's the 79th year for the rodeo which brings top competition from across the country.
"It's just an incredible setting, an incredible fan base. A lot of people have been used to coming to the rodeo each and every year. It's not really just a tourist attraction, we get a lot of people that come back year after year," rodeo GM Cory Wall said.
Performances are Wednesday through Saturday starting at 7 p.m. There is a special Saturday matinee around noon.
The Rodeo Parade is Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. down Tejon Street from St. Vrain to Vermijo in Colorado Springs.
