CUSTER COUNTY – On Tuesday Meteorologist Jessica Van Meter made the beautiful drive down to Westcliffe to visit with the 8th graders at Custer County Middle School. She talked about meteorology, forecasting, and careers in the weather industry.
The 8th graders have been studying meteorology in Science class so they were great participants and had wonderful questions for Jessica. She also spoke to the 7th graders briefly to give an overview of meteorology and careers in the field.
Plus, the snow-capped Sangre de Cristo Mountains were a magnificent backdrop!
