COLORADO SPRINGS — Tyler Weiss scored his second goal of the night with two-tenths of a second remaining in overtime as No. 11 Omaha held off Colorado College 3-2 Tuesday at Broadmoor World Arena.

A controversial finish, it appeared the final tally came after time had expired, however, referees reviewed the goal and deemed it to be "good" for the extra point.

With the win, the Mavericks improve to 8-3-1 on the season while the Tigers fall to 3-9-2.

It was a disappointing result for Mike Haviland's team after outshooting their NCHC foe 39-16. CC has now dropped all four meetings with UNO on the season.

Ben Copeland and Logan Will each scored for Colorado College in their fifth-straight loss. Matt Vernon tallied 16 saves with Austin Roden making 34 for the road team.

The Tigers travel to Grand Forks, N.D., to take on third-ranked North Dakota on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday, Jan. 24.
