SOUTHERN COLORADO — The Rampart Rams and the Pine Creek Lady Eagles showed tremendous defense on Tuesday night.
For Rampart, they welcomed in undefeated Fountain-Fort Carson for a PPAC conference game.
Thanks to some early defensive stops, that led to easy offense, Rampart ran away with a 90 to 75 win.
Rampart not only handed the Trojans their first loss of the season, but moved to 3-0 (4-1 overall) in conference play.
They will face Doherty on the road on Saturday, while Fountain-Fort Carson (4-1) will host Air Academy on Thursday.
On the girl's side, the Pine Creek Lady Eagles also showed off some tough, full-court defense on Tuesday night.
With that, PC was able to beat Lewis-Palmer on the road, 53 to 46, to move to 4-1 (2-0 conference) on the season.
The Lady Eagles now hold a share of first place in the PPAC and will host Liberty on Thursday.
For the Lady Rangers, they drop to 3-3 and will travel on Thursday to Vista Ridge.
