It was a busy day at the Denver Coliseum where several girls volleyball teams in Southern Colorado advanced to Saturday's final day.
In Class 5A, Rampart rallied to win twice in the elimination bracket. The Rams will have to win three times to claim a state title.
Several local teams lived to play another day with Palmer Ridge and Lewis-Palmer clinching semifinal berths while Coronado and Cheyenne Mountain can still punch their ticket with an extra win. Pueblo West had their excellent season come to an end after falling to D'Evelyn in five games.
There was plenty to like about Colorado Springs Christian's run in Class 3A, forcing a decisive fifth set with Lutheran before falling to the Lions.
