Saturday Afternoon Hoops

COLORADO SPRINGS — Saturday afternoon had a slew of good high school basketball games, including one girls basketball teams who put their perfect record to the test.

The undefeated Fountain-Fort Carson Lady Trojans were able to hold off the Pine Creek Lady Eagles in a 52 to 49 overtime win. Torie Bass lead the Lady Trojans with 16 points to move Fountain-Fort Carson to 11-0 on the season.

In some other girls action, Sierra took care of business on the road at The Classical Academy, 51 to 38. Also, behind Abby Robbins go-ahead three, the Lamar Lady Savages picked up a big road win at Colorado Springs Christian, 47 to 42.

On the boys side, Harrison blew out Canon City by 20, 62 to 42. Donta Dawson led the Panthers with 23 points. The Vanguard school was also able to get the big time win over Ellicott, 102 to 47. Joseph Padilla scored a game high 29 points, while Colorado commit Dominique Clifford added 28 points.
