The CHSAA basketball playoffs continued Wednesday night for both Class 5A & 4A with several local boys teams in round 1 action.
Despite leading late into the fourth quarter of their 5A showdown, Doherty high school was stunned by Dakota Ridge in the final seconds, 51-49.
It was a much different story at Sand Creek high school, with the Scorpions cruising past Durango 70-32. SCHS is set to meet Pueblo West in round 2 Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
