SOUTHERN COLORADO — On Saturday afternoon, the St. Mary's Pirates, the Palmer Ridge Bears & the Vanguard Coursers girl's basketball teams all picked up home wins.
In the early tip, the Pirates hosted Colorado Springs Christian in a back and forth affair.
St Mary's would end up pulling out the 64 to 55 victory to move to 6-1 on the season.
They will now face Salida on Wednesday at home.
For the Lions, they fall to 3-3 and host Florence on Wednesday at home as well.
Up in Monument, the Palmer Ridge Bears hosted the Pine Creek Eagles in a rivalry game.
Thanks to some great all-around team basketball, Palmer Ridge would edge out Pine Creek, 48 to 40, for the win.
The Bears now sit at 6-2 on the season and will hit the road for another rivalry game on Wednesday against Lewis-Palmer.
With the loss, the Eagles drop to 4-3 and will host Air Academy on Wednesday.
As for the Vanguard Coursers, they took care of business against Buena Vista, 72 to 17, to remain undefeated.
Vanguard will continue their home-stand hosting Centauri on Wednesday.
