NCAA BOUND: Pack set to host Augustana in first round of NCAA Playoffs

PUEBLO — The Colorado State University-Pueblo football team has secured its first home NCAA Division II Playoff game since 2015, as the ThunderWolves were selected as the No. 4 seed in Super Region Four and will host fifth-seed Augustana University (S.D.), Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.

The No. 10 Pack finished the season 10-1 overall and 9-1 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The postseason bid marks the third straight and eighth overall appearance in program history (1982 - NAIA, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015*, 2017, 2018, 2019). *2015 appearance was removed from NCAA records due to self-reported violation of ineligible players.

The Vikings are 9-2 entering the postseason. Augustana competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) and are making its fifth appearance into the postseason and first since 2015.

Minnesota State University, Mankato earned the No. 1 seed and the first round bye. No. 2 seed Tarleton State University will host Texas A&M University-Commerce. No. 3 seed Colorado School of Mines hosts University of Sioux Falls.

TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 19. An email was sent out to 2019 season ticket holders with information on how to secure their seats for the postseason. Season ticket holders who do not contact the CSU-Pueblo Ticket Office by noon on Tuesday will have their seats released to the general public.

Tickets are $20 for chairback seats and $15 for reserved seating. ThunderHill tickets will be sold for $9. A senior discount (55+) is available for $12 for the chairback and reserved sections. Children 5 and under are free, while a student ticket will be available for K-12 at the price of $5. College students will be $5, but the first 300 CSU-Pueblo students to pick up their ticket at the CSU-Pueblo Athletics Office in Massari Arena starting Tuesday at noon will be free. The free tickets come courtesy of the Associated Students' Government.

Fans can purchase tickets starting Tuesday at noon by visiting the Massari Arena Ticket Office, calling (719) 549-2050 or by going online (link for CSU-Pueblo fans will be available Tuesday). The Massari Arena Ticket Office will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Per NCAA rules, the visitor's section will be behind the visiting team's bench and in Section W and Section T. Visitor's tickets will be $20 in Section W (chairback seating) and $15 (general admission seating). Visitor tickets will be available starting at noon mountain time on Tuesday by calling the ticket office at (719) 549-2050 or by going online (link for Augustana Fans will be available Tuesday).

When purchasing any tickets online, be sure to follow the correct ticket link (CSU-Pueblo fans, Augustana fans and CSU-Pueblo Player Family).

PARKING

The parking procedure for entering the stadium will remain the same as the regular season. For the playoffs, CSU-Pueblo Athletics will honor those who have a RED Friends of Football parking pass. Anyone who purchased or have a BLUE General Parking Pass will have to pay $10. Passes will be available for purchase at the Massari Arena Ticket Office.

ALUMNI & COMMUNITY TAILGATE

The Alumni and Community Tailgate on the Leomiti Center Rooftop will begin at 11 a.m. No presale tickets to the tailgate will be sold.The tailgate will include food and drinks (per NCAA rules, no alcohol will be served at the stadium). The cost will be $10 per person.
