COLORADO SPRINGS — Several of Southern Colorado's top football recruits made their college decisions official during the early signing period Wednesday.

At Palmer Ridge high school, Bears standout quarterback Luke McAllister (Colorado State) and wide receiver Kaden Dudley (Boise State) both choosing Mountain West programs. The duo is set to enroll early in hopes of competing for playing time as freshmen.

"It's great to know the time has finally come, long overdue," McAllister said. "Super excited to be going to this program, they've been committed to me and I've been committed to them. Can't wait to see what I do up there."

"An indescribable feeling, I've been committed for a while but it doesn't mean anything until you put the pen to the paper," Dudley said. "Sign, lock your spot in so it's definitely indescribable. Super fortunate to be in the position I'm in, a great feeling."

On the defensive side, two other local standouts are also continuing their athletic careers at the FBS level. Pine Creek safety Beau Freyler is headed to Iowa State, while Air Academy linebacker Are'an Burr will stay home and play for Air Force.

"It was a crazy feeling, kind of all came to me this morning," Freyler said. "I was just juiced up, super excited, that's the best way I can put it. Probably one of the best feelings I've ever had is signing that paper. Glad that stuff is done and I can focus on hitting the gym and getting on campus."

"It's a great feeling, I did have to practice my signature a bunch of times to make sure I got it right," Burr said. "Hoping to earn my spot, hoping to start. Hoping to be a great fit in the program and help the team out as best I can."

Fountain-Fort Carson star running back Q. Jones committed to Dartmouth last week but tells News 5 Sports he has elected to wait until February to sign with his teammates.
